Clogged Catalytic converter & faulty Transmission Control Module (TCM)

My 2012 ford focus performance started to deteriorate right after the 2 year warranty expired. exactly 4 months later, the check engine signal was on & the dealership notified me that the catalytic converter is clogged. A couple of weeks later, the car refused to start and another message was on "parking assist malfunction". This time the dealership told me that the TCM needs to be replaced. How can a 2.5 years old car with a perfect maintenance history get a clogged catalytic & a faulty TCM!! I will never buy a Ford again!
